[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Lucky was a stray kitten that was born in a field near an office building. A woman who worked in the office noticed that an animal services truck had picked up all the kittens but one and rescued her and took her home with her. We were lucky to have her in our lives for 14 years. She was soft and silky, gray and white cat. I never felt fur so soft.

She had one habit she never lost from her time in the field. She would always paw at her water dish before she drank. I always thought it was because when she was a kitten she had to push away the debris from the puddles to get a drink. It became an endearing habit among many others she had. She was so special to us. We lost her to illness on December 26, 2006. She will be missed.

I cropped the photo close to her face, softened the fur with Neat Image and layered a few paw prints in the corner. I hope you like the effect and you don't mind my tribute to her.

What a lovely picture. you have really captured the softness of her fur. I am particularly drawn to your story as my cat Bramble was found under a bramble bush at 3 weeks old and has made our home hers ever since.

Beautiful cat. Always so sad to lose a pet. Please permit me to suggest the following, based on my experience: when we use neat image (this was pointed out to me by a TL member) all of the photo information is lost. So, when I use it I always copy the "Neated" photo onto the original one therefore saving the information. Then I eliminate the "Neated" photo.
