Hi Hugh,

I like the "news" tone onf this image. It feels very real indeed...
At the same time that it is an ordinary day at a big city, it is one more day of distress for those who miss some loved one.
Unfortunatelly this scene is more frequent that one expected.
Good capture I may say. And I just hope that it somehow helps to find the missing person (I know it can, because I've seen it happening before)

Well done!

take care, Stef :))

hello Hugh,

I agree with Stef about finding the person, i also hope that it will work out fine for the boy... it could be our son ourself ! Horrible thinking !!! Another interesting streetscene, always curious to see more, virtual visiting :)
greetings , inn

The first reaction to this photograph, of course, is emotional - concern for the missing boy, sympathy for the anguish his parents must be feeling. I can't imagine what it must be like.
Second is - good placement of your sign within the frame, I like the composition although there is distortion from your short focal length that has skewed all of the perspectives slightly. There's probably no fix for that, I don't know enough about lenses and photography to suggest anything, other than being further away and using more zoom?
Anyway - for such a simple photo it's poignant, touching, heart-wrenching.
Thanks for sharing and I hope this boy is found.

Excellent post of photojournalism...
and it has a story...very visible...
I did not know that they allow to put bills like this.
Great capture
David

Great capture. Very good composition. The man with cell phone adds to the drama of the situation.

Very touching. You can see such posters - not so large though - in the railway stations here. And in newspapers. Yes, it is heart-wrenching. One can sense the desperation of the loved ones. You have composed the image well. Showing the oncern of the passers-by. The skewed perspective can even be onsidered symbolic.
