Just a random snapshot from this past weekend.
I crashed at Afton State Park again this weekend, which is on the St. Croix River, separating Minnesota from Wisconsin. It's a nice, quiet place to relax; especially if you arrive on a Sunday evening, at this time of year.
I would definitely recommend it to anyone passing through the area.
I woke up with the sun on Monday morning, as I always do when I sleep outside, and wandered down to the beach to catch the last few minutes of a beautiful sunrise. I passed this sign and took a picture for some reason, using a little bit of flash to fill the foreground.
After a little bit of wandering along the beach, I broke camp and headed back to North Dakota, with a clear head and a dangerous hunger for the BWCA.
The summer exploring season is fast approaching. |

good subject for this shot...
still waters in that light... like in the b-movies: a peaceful moment before something awful jump out of the lake :-)
geographycal indication in the signal is a good added bonus

A muted stillness, with all the right angles. I like it.
