Cactus Flower
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
| Everywhere on the Island the cacti are in bloom and the bees are in a frenzy. Never have I seen the striped little insects so passionate in their quest for nectar. Seemingly oblivious to my presence, they burrow deep into the heart of the flower until they vanish from sight. I have never eaten tunas(the edible fruit left when the flower drops off) before but this year I can hardly wait to sample the hopefully delicious pods. From the color of the flowers I imagine the sweet delicate taste of canalope or tart succulent strawberries. |

Hi, I have just loked at a similar shot on TE. This one I like more with the contrasting orange and yellow colours. Very nice composition, regards, Jean
