This is a photo from my front yard looking towards the south at the moon rising. My pear tree seems to be reaching up to touch the moon.
This reminds me of something I was told about my husband to be 19+ years ago. My boss was checking into just what kind of a guy he was with someone she knew who worked with him, she wanted to make sure I was dating someone who would treat me good. So this man he worked with said "I can say one thing about him, if she wanted the moon, he would do everything he could to give it to her" After that she said he sounded like a winner to her.
It didn't really matter to me, I had already made up my mind, we're celebrating our 19th wedding anniversary this May, and I wasn't wrong, he hasn't exactly brought me the moon, but then again I guess I haven't asked for that! ;-)

Very nice graphical shot and a beautiful note to go with it. The composition is well balanced and although the moon is small in the frame it sits in the right place and can't be missed. A few weak stars in that dark part of the sky at the top might have been cool - or maybe too much, hard to say.

Hi Lori!
Congratulations! You've made very good shot. I love colors and contrast:-D
This is a nice evening shot. I like your composition and I like your colors. But, the moon is overexposed--can't see any craters. I have the same problem. But, we can fix that. You can expose for the moon and then expose for the rest, and then merge them together. Or, expose for the moon and burn in the rest. Or, just stick a properly exposed moon afterwards. ;) Good shot, though. And your note really brings it all together. It's super when there's a story behind an image, and this time, one so sweet. Thanks for sharing!
Great shot and sweet story that goes with it. I look at the bottom of your picture and almost expect to see a hill and a wolve howling at the moon on it :)
