This would have been daily life in the early 18th century - despite 100° temperatures outside, this cook would work long hours in front of a hot fire in the hearth, cooking and baking all day for her employer, a wealthy doctor in Brattonsville, South Carolina.

I was in a T-shirt and shorts and could barely stand the heat. Admirable historic re-enactment on a daily basis... very convincing. Took me right back in time!

No tripod. No filters. One helluva hot place!

You show well old time cooking, it is so interested for me in seeing cooking room with fireplace as well as old style costume or some tablewares.
