***BULLETIN!! Just purchased a Tokina AF 12-24mm f4 AT-X Pro 124AF for my Canon! I'm really happy and I can't wait to get it!...

This is my sister's front door and front of her home, with the morning sun coming in. The day of the wedding was a beautiful day, cool, sunny, clouds. I love my sister's home, with the wood floors, big windows and lots of space to run!
I sat this on a chair and shot it with my wide angle. I really love beams of light. Shooting from inside to outside, I had to be careful of my levels in processing. I want just enough light to see the inside, without blasting the outside light, or dropping out the shadows. Balance is the key here!
HAPPY FRIDAY!
Linda

"Balance" is the first word that came to my mind and I see you used it in your note as well...you have indeed managed the light-and-shadows well here, Linda.

You get a good sense of the richness of the wood, can almost smell the polish! I do like this shot, I think it sparks the imagination a little, wondering what other light effects could be introduced - candles on the table, for example.

It's a good shot, well done!

tell you your sister has beautifull home:)

Hi Linda,

Hi Lina,
Congrats with your new lens must be great fun...only a pity it's for your C*n*n :) Anyway you still make "reasonable" nice pictures like this one (joking about reasonable; must be superb) well, excellent how you captured the light in this image, although it appears to be a 'normal' dining room, the light rays makes it a very attractive photo.

Good capture of the sun shinning ito this lovely dinning room! :} Don

Nice framing. The title really fits, there is some sadness here. The Bride is leaving home forever.

About the excessive dynamic range: have you ever tried a contrast mask? See my ws.
