I was about to say that's some kicka** post-processing! Haha. Really well-seen and interesting point of view at-level with the brick boy and close-up, allowing the side of his head and shoulder to be in profile so that it pops out against the out-of-focus background. Very nice contrast between the beige-red colors of the brick and the greens in the background. Now, I know you wanted to include the obvious hint of the tree at the right but I think it would do better to crop off the right edge to decenter the right edge of the brick boy and to retain some continuity. The burning around the edges to create a frame works well to bring out an almost fantasy-like or memorable quality in the shot, especially since the boy looks like he's curiously looking up to the right, one wonders what he is looking at ;) Hmm, and then maybe I would darken the shot just a few notches to retain the darker tones a bit. Great idea for a shot though and well-executed, I don't think I've ever seen anything like this before. TFS!

Hello Rob,
Cette photo est très originale. Elle concerne un sujet grave, si je comprends bien, à savoir le travail des enfants. La lumière rend son expression de visage très réaliste. Le cadrage est parfait. Bravo pour ce cliché.
