[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The dog and I went walking back in the fields today searching for some photo opportunities. There were a lot of little bunches of these yellow wildflowers. I like how this capture shows the siblings of this bloom, still trying to open. The blue background occurred when I applied the "Fade Correction" filter in PSP 8.0.

Very nice composition. I like the blue background that gives more value to the foreground. what needed to be in focus is really in focus.
Your idea of not centering the flower right in the middle of the frame was excellent.

very nice against this background...the color is awesome. and i love the blur - it makes the bloom just jump out of the photo.

Very nice Stephen, the sprouting flowers in the back look like little fingers. Spring is already hitting down there.

Very nice bright colors and composition to this photo. The buds below really add to the drama of this single fully open flower.

Stunning shot and i love the blue background, it really makes the yellow stand out. Well done :)

Congratulations Stephen!! The colours in this photo are so beautiful that it's hard to keep our eyes away from them. The pp for the background couldn't be more perfect as it creates a wonderful contrast with the yellow and it's "blurred" enough to not be distracting!!

Wow, what a strong colours, I like the combination of the yellow flower against the
b(l)eautiful blue, which makes this shot amazing, nice done, Stephen !

Nice macro. Your composition is good and so seems the exposure. The yellow really makes for a nice contrast with the blue. But, I really like the green, because it looks like a trasitioning color; yellow turning into blue. Great job!

Stephen, the colours here are great! I agree with your note - what's very effective is the ring of flower buds around the base of the main flower. Well done.
