Taking Steps

An attempt to process in b/w. Inspired by Guy(mikoyen) to experiment in this area. Taking steps...moving through aspects of self.
Stepping through what is known and ascending or descending within the realm of the self to move freely around the complexity of thought into simplicity of being guided by the the true guide(railing) which will usually keep you balanced. Sometimes unbalanced to move you through a process of perspective within this physical world.

These stairs are ascended and descended everyday by students taking steps to move themselves in this world of worlds. Dreams are made and worries created from thoughts while taking steps to lead you somewhere for which is thought to be everything. It is play and play we must. For this is our/their world, if invested fully to move through it.

pp-this is one of those: lets try this, no no, how about this. Was not sure were I was moving this image except for some type of b/w process. Went from slight color tints to saturation colorize. The colors were originally tan and concrete with some gray. Had more of a blue/teal tint at first then moved into this tone. Experimenting with different steps. Mostly blending modes with a saturation colorize layer mode.

Hi Michael,
Very interesting composition !
I like the way you disturb the eye ...
Sylvie

Hello Michael, very beautiful formed composition of the staircases and the slope which guides the eye here. The B&W is quite carried out, it is a pretty work.

Bonjour Michael, très belle composition formée des escaliers et de la rampe qui guide l'oeil ici. LE B&W est bien réalisé, c'est un joli travail.

I like this one a lot :-) The angle you chose here is very interesting, good choice of b&w and the grainy texture too. But waht I really admire most in this photo, is how you turned a few simple steps into such a great composition. Definitely not easy!! Congrats :-)
Ana

Graphically this photo is very nice. The subject is everyday but you presented it in an interesting manner. It looks great in balck and white. JP

Very simple composition, but full of curves and lines.
B/W is clever choice. Gives to photo some documentary mood.
Great job here Michael.

Very nice composition, you are really showing us around how simple events can be caught in a strong photo.
I like the usage of B&W, and tha game with lines and curves on the photo. They almost make me sick whan I look at this photo, which is in this case very good. :)
Keep up the good work!

An interesting note and nice photograph as well. I like the contours and motion of the hand rail and how you managed to fit the entire thing into the shot. Good choice of B&W here.

Very nice composition Michael.
