[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
A waterspout/tornado moves along the back side of Galveston Island. Waterspouts are a common sight in Galveston and very seldom cause any damage as they usually stay over water. But it can be a little unnerving to be out on the Bay in a small boat and look up to see one moving in your direction. They look enormous when seen from the Bay. You have to look almost straight up to see the top.

Jim,
Very cool image of a waterspout. Too bad the bottom is obstructed by a train.
I recently posted a funnel cloud in my gallery, they look real similar. I do like the deep blue look of this.

Now see, you have taken a pic that has been my dream for years (and my fear) I'm ALWAYS eye to the sky, looking for rotation. Shelby was in Dickenson these last weeks at a church camp and she actually got an impressive shot of some rotation in the clouds, no funnel though!! Someday I may spot one! Excellent shot here Jim!!
