[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is the first of a series of photos I took at Oak Creek in the town of Sedona, Arizona. I set up a tripod on one of the large, flat rocks in the middle of the water, and used a wide angle lens with a shutter speed of 10 seconds.

This first photo faces upstream. I named it the Flow Of Things because the steady stream of water reminds me of how life goes on too -- sometimes around boulders, sometimes down sudden drops. Yet if you take the time to look around, you notice the beauty of the world that we're a part of.

Post: cropped (removed top portion), enhanced saturation, contrast, sharpness, and removed noise.

This is really beautiful. I love how the water looks thanks to the slow shutter speed. The water is almost like from a fairy-tale. Love the colours and pov. Well done, TFS.

very very beautiful and 'smooth' photo... 8 seconds exposure.. no wonder those waters looks so smooth and nice.. you captured a very very good photo here... the composition is very nice too.. nice colors and this is a very calm and relaxing photo to look at.. tfs

Hi Cy, very well composed image. (IMO) i think you over exposed it. The water looks like ice, or frozen forever in time. :) TFS.

This is beautiful and magic filled. The light on the moving water at this shutter speed is amazing. And your note sums up a way of seeing life that I have always believed in, the waters teaching us long before any words or notions of any cosmic or religious understandings could, and in a way that all understand.

Thank you so, realy enjoy this picture. And gives me good ideas for pictures in the future. Your understanding sharp, your image enhancement feather light. Beautiful.

Wicked cool Photo. I miss trees.
Matt

Hi, Cy--
This is a beautiful shot. I love the soft, flowing motion of the water in the stream. I passed through Sedona a couple of years ago, but it was on one of those tours to the Grand Canyon, so we only stopped at the Red Rocks for 20 minutes, then headed North again. I wish I'd known about this place then. Oh, well, next time.

Here are my Red Rocks pictures, here and here, on TrekNature.
