Gathering clouds!

Another view from Route 66, this image was crying out to be b&w simply for the wonderful sky, I also like the way small bushes are scattered almost in a formation.
Hope you like!

Absolutely a shot that had to be black-and-white! It's all about the shapes of clouds, bushes, distant hills ... I love everything about it except the title. :)
Beautiful shot. Thanks for sharing.

Those clouds stand out so white!! Yes, great shot in B&W Dean, well done
Janice
Hi Dean - the photo certainly does stand out from the crowd when looking at the thumbnails on the page.
The only thing that bothers me is the tree/bush thing front and centre. That aside, the b/w works well and I think there are good tones throughout, something I find very hard to manage when doing b/w conversions. So for me this is educational, a good example of "what to do".

Hi Dean,
Yes, you are right... Sky and the whole landscape deserved a B&W...This picture communicates loneliness, desolation...But really nice... Marta
Beautiful shot Dean and a super B/W conversion.
There has been so much talk lately regarding composition and rule of thirds etc. I think the compositions works great here. I like the wave like ripples in the ground and the bushes with their shadow that pop up.
Also, as yourself and others has mentioned fantastic sky!
Great shot and great presentation!
Cheers,
Jens
