| These colors are for real! In Alaska's Tracy Arm, pieces of glacial ice, hundreds of years old break off into the fjord every summer. The ice is so dense from the pressure that only light from the blue spectrum is reflected. The colors are extreme. The water is gray with glacial silt. I have heard that glacial ice is now "imported" by Japan where it is served in special bars where they charge big prices. The idea is . . . it stays frozen longer! |
