I was down to my cousin Bettys 80th birthday open house. We share interest in humming birds & butterflys. She has 3 nice butterfly bushes so was tickled to capture this for her. If anyone can ID this please let me know. They are pretty common around here but I cannot ID it. Hope you enjoy & thanks for viewing! :} Don
Update:
My friend Dee, who is new to treklens took a photo of this same butterfly. She is new to TL so did a workshop for her & will add a link to show her how it should work. click here

Hi, Don!

Your photo of the butterfly (a Silver-spotted Skipper) turned out much better than mine! I will upload mine tomorrow so you can see the difference.

Don & I attended the same party (his cousin is my husband's aunt) and that's how we met and became fast friends and he introduced me to TrekLens. What a wonderful website!

The clarity of the butterfly and flower compared to the background is wonderful! I used an default setting on my camera for close ups of flowers but did not get the same results. I'll make note of the differences so I can do better next time! Great Job as always!
