I was witnessing one of the most spectacular sunsets (I have this crazy "disease" where I feel the need to capture every beautiful sunset, just in case I need the photo for anything in the future)...Well, after shooting waaay too many photos of this gorgeous Lido Beach sunset here in Sarasota, Florida...I was reluctantly getting ready to leave.
That was, until this little girl ran down to the water to test its temperature. At first I couldn't tell if it was a girl or boy. Then, she began to daintily place one toe in at a time. (I found it funny when I realized that she was in fact a girl and not a little boy because the seagulls were left alone.)
I could not resist, so I got a few more shots. She stayed for a bit just looking out at the water. I wondered what was going through her mind.

The moment took my breath away...ahh, to be so young and carefree again, if only for a few seconds. For me, this photo really "captures" memories of that youthful innocence...thus the title.

Beautiful sunset indeed, Stacy... I like the colours and the silky look of the clouds. The girl's silhouette is a bonus, though I'd love some more space on her left, as that's the side she's turned towards. A minor issue, of course. Why such a large frame, I wonder? Would have loved to see the picture itself larger...

Very nice Stacey You captured at true "Kodak moment" here. I too often wonder about what the subject in certain pictures might be thinking. Anyway, nicely done!
God's best,
Tim
