This is "Delicate Arch" in Arches National Park, Utah, USA. How does this arch get made you ask.
First the rocks extend like accordian bellows leaving cracks between each bellow. Now rain and wind get into the cracks and some of the bellows erode away completely. Then more rain and wind erode a whole through the last remaining bellow and the "Delicate Arch" is formed. Very stunning scenery throughout the park. Scanned.

Hello Karin
You're quite rewarded for that exhausting hike up-there because it thrones with magnificence over the shaded LaSalle Mountains!
I had the bad luck of an overcast!
Very attractive!
Best regards.
Robert

Hello Karin & Michel,

You have identified a beautiful site and your composition is brillinat. Smart selection of view point from where the arch is providing a perspective of romancing dinosaurs. Fine details and vivid colors have added an immense charm of vision. Well done.

Thanks for sharing this image.

Voila le genre de photo qui fait rever!! Une terre rouge, ocre formant des imenses arches. C'est vraiment un des paysages que je reverais de voir en vacances.

Hi Karen,
pretty good quality for a scanned image, great POV and beautiful oolor saturation. Amazingly beautiful place..only thing that bothers me is your signature a bit too bit, distracts from the beautiful photo. TFS

Hello Karin,
I like the colour palette, very eye-catching!
A well balanced composition, good textures in the rock and fine diagonal lines...
Greetings,
Pablo -

Hi Karin,
Very nice and beautifull picture.
The nature sculpture is sometime better than the human made one :)

Hello karin, What a beautiful composition. Only a little grainyness from scanning. I like the crop and colors. Did you use a UV plus polarizing filter. Whe out west I found that the combination really caused the sky to pop and lets face it, out west there is a lot of sky. cheers
Eric
