Woah! From the thumbnail I had no idea what was going on, but the full image os pretty impressive, great shot! A super photo-journalist type photograph, very dramatic and very well captured - super job!

G'day Mate,
Nice picture with dramatic colours. The red stands out pretty well in this almost black and white shot. Very good. 2 points form me...

Great capture Chuck. Did you Post Process this to desaturate everything but the borate? It seems like maybe you dropped the saturation on everything else and kicked it up on the borate, but you did it very smoothly if you did. Maybe I'm just jaded because that's the type of thing that I would have done. It's a great picture.

Interesting shot, the troubles of the hot summer. Do these forests really need an occasional fire? I know some of them do.

Hello Chuck,

Your have captured a decidive moment beautifully in this frame. The point of view is excellent. The smoke and fire extinguishing is nicely composed in this shot. Well done my friend.

Thanks for sharing this image.

Excellent shot, Chuck, and I like the color of the relief-giving plane dropping its cargo, but was even happier to discover its shadow singed into the mountain.
Best regards,
Karen

WOW! This is a really cool pic, one of a kind! Not likely to run across this tyep of a shot often! Really nice dark tones! But I like how the red stands out! B-)
Linda

Dramatic action shot! The color must be arbitrary? I've seen bright yellow before.... or is that something different?
Fires everywhere - tragic wherever they occur. The situation in Greece is something else too.
I guess after that it will be floods and mudslides.....
Nothing to cheer about here!

Chuck
I think this fire is still going. Nice capture - we live within a mile of an air attack base and the bombers come over us as they land. So I appreciate what you have posted. Very well done.

Thanks for he kind comments on my falling down barn - much appreciated.

Dan

Great action shot! Excellent photojournalism. Good one!!
