Nothing heralds the glories of the welcome arrival of Spring with Her promise of rebirth like the bright and beautiful tulip. It is one of my favorite "first flowers" and I am glad I have a camera to keep this one forever as they never stay long enough. Too soon, the petals fall but through the medium of photography, we are magicians with the click of our finger, perserving the precious memory and the moment forever......

Tech:
Other than a slight crop and the use of saturation, there is no other PP on this photo.
Resized in three steps. I only added logo as signature seemed to distract on this one, IMO.

Stop by today and enjoy one of natures most beautiful gifts to us. And always say "Hi"....:O) Kat ((Hugs))

Hi Kat,
Isn't it great to get a really good pic and not have to do any pp on it. Not to say that pics with pp aren't great in themselves, but, to have something that is already "finished" in itself, makes it easier sometimes.
Very nice color. Very bold and rich. A nice tribute to youth. Shaprness, exposure, composition is wonderful.
Great "non-work!" ;)
Take care.
Richard

It's so nice you're back. Always giving us such colourful images. Great macro of this spring tulip. It sure did brighten up my morning when I saw this. It took me almost 5 whole minutes to find the heart, but I did...phew!

"Hi".....
The beginning of a new spring, lightened by the sun, beautiful red and yellow and all is very clear.

Aaahhh you captured pure beauty, wonderfull rich contrasting colors, well done!

Wonderful! And with no pp either! Beautiful intense colours. I love it!
Ana

I love color and I love flowers, so this is a multi-treat! I agree that spring is so welcome when the "forty shades of brown" start to brighten up and become a rainbow of color. I think flowers are "your thing" as you seem to do so well in the capture of them. Keep it up and brighten the gloom of winter for those of us who are not so fortunate as to live in the sub tropics!

I would have put the signature in the green parts Kat, not on the actual subject - which you present with nicely saturated colours and your usual macro quality. Isn't spring the most wonderful of all seasons ? TFS.

Good Day Sunshine!!! Very well done! Sharp and vivd colors!

i was browsing through your recent works and this one is really eye catching, Kathleen. great clarity and of course, the color is phenomenal! you've manipulated the lighting very well too. i'm impressed with your works, very inspirational notes too.
