yes, the shadow is more imaginative than real figure, also I think. and Alfred Hitchcock often applied this effect to enhance the feeling of thrill...indeed.

Okay Reid, I don't do spiders AT ALL - but this one has such appealing colours and looks more like a crab (love those) that I can look at it without getting shivers.
A great catch - nice touch that strong large shadow and wonderful colours.
