[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Trying to experiment with different shooting styles recently. Here is a waterfall experiment. You all know the posters of streams and waterfalls, they always make the water look like cotton, soft, and beautiful.

This past weekend I went on my first trip with the Husson Outdoors Club, and ascended Katahdin (also a first for me). The weather was horrible, so scenics of the bowl and Tablelands were not possible. However, a series of waterfalls along the trail on the way up (these were taken on the way down) proved very beautiful.

So I decided to experiment making that soft, cottony picture, we all know and love. Besides the framing, there is no PP done to this image.

Hand-held, waist deep in icy mountain water. F-stop of 16, shutter of one fourth a second (sensor-based IS on).

See more of the images, as well as the blog entry, here.

Quite proud myself.
