[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
It has been a long time since I last posted. Between work and school, there is little time for anything but riding.

This afternoon, I took my camera along as I explored some trails along the Red River on my bicycle. It was very windy today, but inclement riding conditions mean less people around, so I was happy to suffer nature's wrath for a small slice of alone time.

Riding is my new drug, my refuge, my way of forcing myself to slow down and enjoy the view. I give up on my car. My car makes too much noise, costs too much to drive, and doesn't take me to places like this on Sunday afternoons. I think I've driven it a total of three times since July...

It seems that autumn showed up without warning, one day it is summer and all is green, and then the next day it is gone. Soon enough, it will be another prairie winter; which means hockey, bone-chilling cold, supersonic winds, and icebiking :-P

I wish that autumn could last forever. Afternoons like this are too few and far between.

a very simple but beautiful scene...i wish autumn could last forever too...its my favorite season but always ends before i even knew it began...peace***

Great shot Brian, it has good color and the path of the river through the image helps build the composition. As you probably know from my gallery I am pretty fond of taking river photos. Have a good fall, it is the best time of the year.
