[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I'm putting up a photo of the sluice that feeds the millstone of this old mine. The ore runs into the building you see on the left and is ground by the millstone. The ore comes down the mountain about 1/4 mile. I went to b/w-sepia for this shot to preserve the 'image' of past histories. I'm posting the color version in workshop. I think it's more of a 'nature photo' than of historical mining.

pp-convert to sepia after sizing, then sharpen up a bit. I also straightened it with a light crop.

You can view the original in a workshop.

Good Evening Gary

Good idea to transform this recent photo into an old one.Imn my opinion, you made it too old. I think B&W would be better. I like it anyway.

Serge

L'idée est très bonne. Je me suis laissé berné pensant que j'avais un cliché historique sous les yeux!

Hi Gary,

HI Gary

This is a superb sepia tone composition. It exudes rustic and antiquarian charm and appeal. Nice PP work too, very fetching and befitting this photo subject. Well done!

Congrats and TFS.

regards,
Martyn
