A special "gift" for our beloved Joan aka Technogran......

Here is the arrival of your first spring flowers. After seeing your post of the St. Lawrence River just now beginning to melt the ice away yesterday, I felt bad that you had no signs of any buds or colorful flowers yet, while most of us are already basking in the midst of vivid springtime glory....
So I put this together for you and sent it Special Delivery VIA Treklens for you to enjoy untilyour very own first signs of spring appear.

Joan (Technogran) is our sprightly, beautiful 71 years young member who has the advenuturous spirit of a 20 year old to walk across the top of a frozen waterfall, travel to more places than I can remember, climb aboard a fast moving train and take long walks to enjoy nature. And all the time never skipping a beat to see the beauty around her and capture it through her lens so professionally for us here at Treklens to enjoy. She is an inspiration to me and I admire her adventurous and caring heart.
Hope these flowers bring you a smile and some color and last until your own spring flowers begin popping up......

What a beautiful and unusual post. I am sure that Joan's day will be brightened as will all who view your post of today. Sprig is a very special part of the year and the appearance of flowers is the high poiny. Thanks for this burst of color and beauty.

What a lovely gift for Joan. Yes, she is an inspiration to us all, and as you say, she travels quite a bit. Still no blooms in my town, but the daffs are out of the ground now about 2". Lovely picture of the flower. Is it a peone? Perhaps a little bit overdone with PP though Kat, especially the saturation. Hope you don't mind me saying so.

A happy spring-scene with a flower which is jumping out from the background in wonderful colours.

Lovely attention for Joan, Kat. Mmmm... you know what's gonna come next, right ? (I read your note to Diana LOL).
What caused the artefacts ?? Pixels on the loose everywhere I see. I have never had that effect, though I apply most of these steps as well. Strange... Nice flowers though, both in yellow and in purple ? TFS.

Well, thank you, thank you, thank you Kat. What a wonderful surprise when I opened up my computer tonight - the first time today at 10.15 pm to be greeted by a dazzling colour display of lovely blooms. Well I will be able to keep them and look at them forever now, not like those that wilt in a vase. Very nice and also thanks for the note. I don't know what kind of impression I have created, but I have to say that I still feel young at heart but I don't know about sprightly...more like tottery at times...LOL!!
Anyway it was very refreshing to come home to find such a nice gift for me. I have spent the day helping friends set up their computer, which meant a drive of 70 km each way to the suburbs of Montreal and trying to get everything on the computer working at it's best.
Oh how nice to see the fresh and lovely flowers you have presented.

Great macro shot of these flowers - nice controlled DOF :)
