I made my first of what will be many trips to Limantour Beach in Point Reyes National Seashore. I like many others have visited the famous light house, peered at the never ending south beach, and marveled at the cliffs of Drakes Beach. However, after visiting Limantour beach all I could say to myself was "why haven't I been here before??". The beach goes on forever and has this aura of peace and tranquility like none other. A truly wonderful place.
It was low tide so I walked south down the endless beach and when the sun went down over the western peninsula of Pt Reyes, I put away the wide angle and used my 18-200 zoom. A few birds were nice enough to enter the scene and make it magical.

I've posted a larger version as well so please take a look and enjoy...

Mike,
Just fantastic. The birds complements the already beautiful and colorful scene.

Good colours and capture of background birds. TFS. K2

Hi Mike
Thanks for keeping TL going while we were gone. Great to see what you have been doing. Golden light well captured ans the gull add to the composition - like the cropping as well.

See you soon.

Dad
