Wonder of Autumn

Fern Lake Trail
Rocky Mountain National Park

October 7 was a wonderful day for me. Early October is an unbelievable time in Rocky Mountain National Park. I took my whole family to my favorite autumn trail ... Andrew and I have gone to this place every October for years. This is my 8 year old daughter among the thick aspens groves of the Fern Lake Trail ...

Hello John, this is captured on a gorgeous day and colours.
Nice pathway leading our eyes to the center of the pic and your little girl.

Very well caputured and perfect exposure.

Very well done! Yan :)

She loves nature as Andrew does!
She is like a little angel,so nice to see her there with all those autumn colors around
Hugs

This photo has great Rocky Mountain Autumn elements. Intense colors, deep blue sky and a nice winding path. I like how your daughter adds perspective. John, this image takes me back to the days of my youth living close to the Northern Utah Mountains. There is nothing quite like the large groves of Aspen trees in full color. I miss the sound the dry leaves make when the wind blows through them.
Thanks for posting this awewsome photo.

Best wishes,

Darren

Hi John,
What a wonderful photo, the colors are beautiful but love your little girl their in the path, shes looking at what lies ahead. Its beautiful. TFS

Hi John: I love the golden hues of autumn hereand a great use of a polarizer, it looks like you used one here....... I like the composition of colour, the gold on top and the greener colour on the bottom...... a pleasure to see.... thanks Roman :0)

Aspens must be the best autumn trees of them all!

Hi John

Wow those really are autumn colours, the trees here haven't been very impressive this year. Tour shot has stunning colours, a good exposure and a lovely composition

Fascinating colours, it looks like you walked into a fairy-tale.

Hi John,
Wonderful autumn image. I'm amazed by this very nice yellow. Here in Central Europe the 1st weeks of October wasn't so colourful yet. Beside birch (Betula pendula) only ginkgo (Ginkgo biloba) can produce this special yellow, but it can be seen in city parks only.

Hi John,
Her beautiful hair is well-coordinated with the autumn colors. I do think she is far enough away that she could have been post on TE, the light through the leaves with the leaf-strewn path is certainly TE-able!!
HLJ, Pat

Hi, John. I love the color of the golden autumn leaves contrasting with the bit of blue sky in the middle. Did you also make a vertical shot? It would be nice to see a bit more of thsi beautiful sky and the top of the trees. You can almost breathe your love for hiking in the shot. Merry X-mas, Yvonne
