Gold and crimson above and below, this tree and its surroundings had been left untouched when I biked by the other day. A very inviting spot, it reminded me of something out of a painting. I wanted to share that with you as faithfully as possible. No PP except sizing and one pass of USM.

I agree with you Jim, as your title says, better left unraked.
The colours are really beautiful. The composition is spot-on.There are some lovely textures with the leaves and the stone wall amongst others.
Well observed, tfs, regards Jean.

Hi Jim,
Splendid and glorious fall colors well enhanced by the dark trunk of tree. Excellent capture of light. The play of shadows on the ground is well rendered. Very pleasant photo! Bravo! Annie

PS/ Many thanks for your nice comment on my last posting! I appreciated a lot!

Nice shot - great composition and point of view. I really like the colours and use of light and shadow.

Hi Jim. It always seems strange to me that park authorities tidy the fallen leaves when they look so good laid out as nature's carpet. I remember as a child the pleasure of kicking through the leaves or diving into the piled up leaves. Only the other day I was, like you, out biking and couldn't resist riding through and scooping up the leaves with my feet as I went.
The image is excellent. One thing that takes my eye is how the horizontal theme is echoed through the carpet of leaves, the wall and the tree branches.

Hi Jim,
Beautiful picture nicely composed with great autumn colors, Excellent point of view and and beautiful tree and wall of stone, very well done..
Michel
