[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is a photograph of Tricia or Patricia, my niece from the Philippines who visited me to rest from her studies in Paris. I saw her, intently reading a book in the family room. Without her knowledge I took her picture. The original picture shows my paintings on the wall so I cropped it closely and did a lot of PP work in Photoshop. My intent here is to make it look like a pencil sketch on buff paper with smatterings of colors. It was a pretty long process. I even went to a trial and error stage and previewed results, and changing constantly. It was pretty hard to remember. I was not a member of TL when I did this work. It is now one of my priceless collection!

I understand the Photoshopping process...once you start doing it, you can go on and on. That's how we learn...through trials and errors.

It does look like a pencil sketch. Did you try it in BW. Maybe it will be more interesting. I would love to see your painting!

Andre, this is absolutely fabulous PP - well done!

That is amazing. Very tasteful work. The writing on the pages and her blouse are my favorite parts. Beautiful! JP

Amazing. Think only her hair shows too little detail (none at all to be more precisely).

Andre, well done, it is fantastic what can be done to modify images. G

hello Andre,
through browsing I found you via the forum thread about photo books. I must say I like this very much. It looks so much like a pencil drawing.I like the luminous book print and the luminous blouse that your niece is wearing. I accomplished to study of your neice. Maybe Ishould play with PP more if this si the result.
regards,
Bev
