[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
probably the last of my 'painted lilies' and something more gentle, bright and hopeful to help us all feel the light a little bit more..

this is dedicated to all those out there who have been feeling rather sad and blue of late.. here's a more positive and uplifting hue of that emotionally complicated colour to hopefully raise our spirits.. :-)

and a partiular note for Ana (alagoa) who i know loves the colour blue and who's been suffering from icky nightmares lately.. i thought the look of these flowers were so dream-like so i am sending subliminal messages to your subconcious so that if the nightmares come, this image will take their place! ihih

***

not as much done here as you might think..

i used a shot that had a lot of shadows on and around the flowers (done by holding a lamp near them at the right angle) to create a greater variety of tones

* then the photo was slightly cropped, resized & sharpened
* the colours inverted and levels adjusted to further 'dreamafy' it
* framed and signed and there we are!

here's wishing a more cheerful blue hue for all of you.. ^_^

And to me, who loves the colour blue and now I am glad to see, that you're craeting a happy picture, it's soft, it's smooth and if you have a (very) good look, the flower in the left..... is smiling.......

This seems so translucent Ayda, as if you let us see a bit in to your soul. Calming, realxing and dreamy. It would be hard to have a nightmare when finding strength in such pictures dear. Beautifull as ever...and i do hope we will se other lillies at times.

Hugs

Absolutely beautifull, Your PP was phenomenal, excellent POV too, well done!

Very atmospheric image, the colors are like out of a dream, the overall effect is pleasing to the eye and soul. Bravo!

Lovely work, soft and delicate! Smooth sensation! Very well done! Congrats,Princess Ayda!

Hi Ayda,
How lovely. I don't recall seeing negative tones used in such a soft way. Interesting...abstract color and dreamy mood. Very nice mood. Such a lovely dedication.
Hugs!
Richard

Humm, just what I needed to see today!! I think I am going to "steal" this photo to set it up as my computer's wallpaper, you don't mind, do you?? This is the kind of blue that does not give us the blues ;-)
I love this enormous brightness of your image and I usually prefer darker tones, but this one is just like I've fallen asleep in the sun and when I wake up I have to squint my eyes because suddenly all is bright and beautiful and it's like I'm still dreaming... (but really dreaming, no more nightmares)
Very inspiring indeed, I think maybe today I'll try to relax without the help of the magic pills! That would be good!
Congratulations Princess Ayda (I am glad you're part of the crew)

It is soothening and dreamlike and surely has loads of good vibes.

This is such a nice dedication to those not feeling so bright, and for Ana who loves blue. You are so sweet. I really like what you did with these flowers in post processing. Wonderful job.

What is your favourite colour?

Sorry, out of points for today.

Poetic title and a very dreamlike rendition with the PP you've presented.

Nicely done.

Another great addition to your lillies series. Very angelical like... different and pleasent. No surprises here, and nothing else expected but the best from you.

What a wonderful calm and serene picture of such a gorgeous shade of blue, which is almost changing to a pale mauve. Very soothing and the beautiful flower shapes emphasize the softness of the overall image. Very, very nicely done Ayda.

wow this is amazing, you really out did yourself on this one, the light, the color,
