I found this small tree broke but still useful to a very smart squirrel..... After a very large Thanksgiving dinner Thursday at my Moms house we took the kids for a nice walk in the woods to collect Prince pine for making our holiday wreaths..

I'll post a ws to show how are my 2 children where working.. at one time Noah my 10 yo asked me "Mom if you where not going to HELP why did you come?" I answered ... "To take PHOTOS!"

PP: cropped, auto adjust ... darken a tad, resized rand in neat image, frame.. that was in PHE5 then to photofilter because I wanted the text just like that!

Have a wonderful day and remember it may be broken to some but to others its still useful :)

Hi Tricia, original composition with splendid warm colors, very well done, ciao Silvio

Hi Tricia,

Great picure and a nice message too. I like the detail on the break and the nut, the shallow DOF really draws attention to the subject.

Great Capture

Tom

Many thanks for your kind words on Love yellow .

Lovely feel to the splintered wood here, Tricia - an unusual shot but one that works, I think. Composition is good and I like the depth of field. Well seen!

Hi Tricia,
Excellent close up, nice details and a fine DOF. Your note is funny and interesting ans so is the WS picture. The presentation is superb too!
Hans

good close up shot, you made a broken branch to be interesting to look at Tricia, good eye.TFS.

Double useful! One for the squirrel, second for explanation! Hehe it's a good observation from yourself too and well show from that angle!
But do they really do it or it is a scenario from the photograph?
Cause i see them working, teeth cut so easily the shell and hands have dexterity :)
Perhaps this one was more fancy ;)

Hi Tricia,
A very thoughtful post and a great find . . . nice DOF and soft background with the perfect coloring.
My kids have finally gotten used to my camera, seemingly always attached to me, and even point out things they see for me to shoot. But I will try your line next time there's laundry to do . . .
Take care,
Karen
