This is an oldie, but in my opinion, a goodie. A friend of mine and I were experimenting with tea candles within an 11,000 acre abandoned ordnance factory from WW2, seen in a few of my other photos.

I had just purchased my Canon A80, and I was eager to get out and really learn what it was capable of. It may not be professional grade, but most of my pics here were taken with it. Needless to say, I am more than satisfied.

We were originally shooting from the other end, this is why the candles are facing the camera (usually I try to hide them for a unique indirect light).

In PS CS, I reduced the blue saturation; as this was originally shot using tungsten white balance, and I didn't like the effect afterwords. Also tweaked the red and yellow saturation to enhance the candlelight. Rotated counterclockwise a total of 2 degrees, two passes sharpen edges, cropped, and resized.

Something positive. The candles add a great effect to the picture. I'm about as bad at critiquing pictures as I am speeches. However, this picture is teh r0x0r!

Yes i discover a site about speleogie in france and i saw the guy use often that way to give light...
I admit just 15 seconds give a good light... But there was an operture on the roof behind? This is the daylight!
Excellent one! I like the mood!
