Little Puffy
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Back to my bird photos taken awhile back through the window of my work shop. I liked the way this little chipper sparrow was puffing out his breast feathers in the breeze that day. I cropped the tail portion since most of it was hidden by the limb anyway. Shot in the raw & edited in PSE 6, upped the temp & vibrancy to get the more brown look that shows off his colors. Sharpened & unsharp mask. I had been opening a copy of the raw in editor, that leaves my raw file revert back to the original, saving it as a tiff & then do some final tweaking. I never liked the sharpen feature in PSE since it seemed to leave the bkgrnd more grainy, but it seems to me if I run sharpen before saving as a tiff I don't get this. Photo is a small crop from a 14X11 original. Framed & resized for TL.
Thanks to all who view or critique! Hope you enjoy! :} Don |
