[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I'd say the boys got rather unusual necklaces.

They told me these snakes are harmless. I only hope they know what they're doing and saying...

Many people have an unreasonable fear of snakes. It is good to have a strong respect for them. Many snakes are very beneficial keeping down rat populations and such. King snakes even keep down the poisonous snake population. I'm always very dismayed when a neighbor proudly displays a slain king snake. If only they knew.
This is actually a very good age to introduce boys to snakes. My dad introduced me, and I subsequently introduced my son.
Your picture is an excellent one to show that it is possible for humans and snakes to get along.
Bravo!
