Hi Karen,
Your so lucky to be able to catch birds like this in your garden, The main focus seems to be the side of the feeder though as the Woodpecker seems very slightly out of focus, you still have great colours and details though, I notice you only have a file size of 98kb, maybe if you can get near the 200kb allowed the image might be sightly sharper, nice work though,
Regards Andy

A rare bord to capture, i think - and you've done a great job here. Composition and sharpness are great and to catch the wee fella with something in his beak is a super bonus - nice one!

What a lovely capture, Karen! I like this birdie with it's fluorescent colored crown. Great timing of the shot and I like the focus and bokeh.
Cheers!

Great details and saturation. This picture really caught my eye in the gallery this morning, even though I am still waking up.
I think the bird's beak could be just a tad sharper, but that is only minor, because at one point, the beak almost blends in with the background very slightly.
Nice presentation.
TFS!

Yes, he is a treat for sure. I like the composition you have chosen. It looks like the the feeder is more in focus than the bird though. If the camera was on autofocus that would explain things. TFS. K2

Hello Karen,
What a beautifuwl bird to have visit your feeder! Great sharpness and depth to highlight the beauty of this woodpecker. Savor this one, you may never catch another feeding out of a feeder as they are normally shy birds.

An excellent capture Karen, lovely red in the bird , well composed and good texture in the feeder. TFS,

Many thanks for your comment on Peppermint Forest. The peppermints of Western Australia come in a few shapes and sizes. I had some growing as a low border in one house I owned and it was only about 2 feet tall after 6 years.
Re the new intro photo, I was 10 in that one.

Hello Karen,
And what a lovely pose you capture here!
Your feathered friend with the catch in the beak, and of course a bird with a hat like this will stand out anywhere...
Great details in the plumage, a well composed presentation!

Hi Karen,
A nice shot of the woodpecker for sure. Focus does look like it's slightly more on the feeder but not bad. A nice pose captured with seed in mouth...always makes the photo more interesting. Good light, exposure and natural colors. Nice shooting Karen!
