Well, it's still rainy and hard to get out with the camera, so I resorted to doing more experiments with old images yesterday:)
Believe it or not, this one started out as a collection of scissors with colorful handles, all standing upright in a container at a children's discovery museum. I thought the colors might be interesting to work with but the first experiments were disappointing. Then I tried some other filters and was amused with this extruded effect that I also accented a bit with black poster edges. When I was trying to decide what to do for a border I found this graph pattern and almost laughed out loud about the combination. Over the top, eh?! What, you're dizzy?
PP: gradient layers changes, extrusion filter, poster edges, resized, added border layer with gradient fill pattern and an extra thin black edge for definition, plus added a thin stroke and a drop shadow on the image layer to "extrude" it from the graph border.
The image is very cool and I had to laugh once I read what the starting image was. Great way to take an ordinary shot and turn it into pop art.
I really like the vibrant colors and how they have a liquid look in a blocky environment - kind of like little ice cubes...
Thanks for sharing.
The abstract you have achieved is very easy on the eyes yet its very busy with the graph patterns .... at very first glance it looked a lot like stained glass until I looked again ...and again.... fascinating PP work here Karen.....thanks for sharing with us....Roman:0)
Never would have guessed the original items from the looks of this image. Impressive colors and all the PP to get to this posting. I think our rain is out of here today and a little dryness for a while,
