Two Wheels and a Road Ahead

| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
I took this in the midst of an annual motorcycle 100-mile circuit of Lake Winnebago and its bordering communities. The event is a time of fellowship and fundraising for the Fox Valley Jail Ministry, a group that, as its name implies, seeks to serve those who are incarcerated, and their families. It'a also a lot of fun.
This past year's was the third running of the event, and unlike the chill and rain of years past, we got a classic summer day to enjoy. At this moment we were pointed northward to the city of Oshkosh.
Post-processing was an initial crop and sepia conversion in Photosmart Premier, then final cropping, sizing,, and sharpening in The Gimp. This is a handheld shot from the open window of my car. |

Nice, sharp capture. Well composed. Good B&W conversion.

Good morning Jim
Lovely shot here, nice lean through the image with the lines of the road and the telephone wires. Neat change to sepia gives it a timeless feel too.
TFS and for joining in the theme
kind regards Helen
A couple of motorcycle or motorbike shots today...this one makes 3...very interesting and a fine perspective..for an agile person!

Hi Jim,
Great photo! My first thought when I saw this was "route 66". I guess it's the sepia conversion. Looks like fun!

Hello Jim,
the open road, and a clear sky, save for a few puffy clouds. What a nice event for a good cause. Nice lines, amd repetitive posts. Evokes a good feeling!
Best regards,
Karen
Looks like a beautiful day for riding those two wheeled things with motors and those self propelled, and you got both. This shot reminds me of a 150 mile muscular sclerosis ride I did three years back with my then 80 year old dad, and 17 year old son. Three generations on the ride all self propelled. The sepia works nice here. Sounds like an interesting ministry. I shared my personal testimony this past year in a prison nearby. Life can deal a tough hand sometimes for some of us.
