well.. been thinking of doing some shots like this for a while but hadn't got round to it.. but on wednesday i happened to be wearing fishnets (hence the title ihih) so when i got home i thought i'd put on some heels and try a few snaps.. i'm sure i'm going to try again as the conditions were not the best and i was too tired to fiddle with the camera settings.. not to mention lie there on a table with my legs in the air! ihihih and i was also worried that this particular angle with my 'down leg' pushing out the calf muscle of my 'up leg' wasn't the most flattering to my ankle! but.. i've been in such a weird and uncertain mood about posting lately i thought the best thing for me psychologically would be just to grit my teeth and post! to hell with self-doubt for today :-)

***

shot in monotone mode in very low light with a lamp shining up at me in the same way as in my A Treacherous Trek Through Dreamland post last week to cast the shadows.. i won't get into the saga of my kitty Bodmins reaction to seeing those shadows which had me buckling over with laughter!! ihih if you're good boys and girls maybe i'll post one of those shots too ^_^

not much done in PP, just cropped, resized, some imperfections & cracks on the wall cloned out, very light unsharp mask, converted to grayscale for improved web viewing, framed & signed

well.. fortunately these fishnets are still appropriate for a vegetarian.. ihih :-)

take care all!

Beautiful B/W!
Suggestive photo, very "elegante" in the same time.
Une ode à la féminité.

Marc.

Great catch!!
To hell with self doubt indeed, you are feeling powerful lately, I love it!
The pose or the lights aren't the most important thing, what counts is the mood and you're feeling up to it ;-))
Oops, gotta run, I shouldn't be here now!
Go girl!! You rule ;-)
Ciao.

It,s a great work..with a misterous light...i like very much

Beautifully captured. I like the position you took and the shadows on the wall add some dimenseion. Good job!

Hi Ayda,
So much doubt. It's time someone "poked out" that "critical eye!" This looks real good. I like the low contrast on this one...makes everything blend in together...almost like an abstract of color and form...almost....
Well done!
Richard

Hey Ayda,
When in doubt..POST..I am open to the idea that you can do no wrong with your creative spirit in photography. Make sure not to crack a tooth when gritting your teeth so hard. The best way to put the doubt aside is to let it be seen, which you have done here in this marvelous composition of b/w(not that I see your doubt in this but that you posted beyond your doubt). Great fishnets and the pose is wonderful and totally flattering for you. Glad to hear you laughing at your cats reaction to those shadows.
I see you are a fellow vegetarian. Cool.

Take care,

michael

Nothing much to say here.
Good patern, good DOF, good crop between objects, clever choice for B/W... simply good shot.
Regards.

Hi,baby this a perfect representation of beauty image and secuction art. Some one can't sleep tonight...you are very bad girl.. ;-)
I like your trip about yourself exploration,I think every woman must do it...I look overall at the image, cause my poor english I am not sure to well understand your thoughts, but I think the most important it's to feel the shot. You have a very interesting road to walk on.
Friendly and smiling
Edie

Well, it sure is an eye-catcher ;-)
Quite good result, it must have taken a lot of tries I can imagine.
The shadow on the bottom could have been softened to match the others. The DOF is a bit narrow, showing in the shoetip and the curve of the upper leg.
Don't worry about the ankles ;-)

Legs in fish-nets does it for me every time without fail. I'm only a hormone driven man after all!!

It's a great shot and very suggestive. Unfortunately fish-nest don't suit my hairy legs, otherwise I could be tempted to do the same ;-)

I particularly like the low contrast everything blends smoothly resulting in softness which makes the whole thing seem soft and 'inviting'. The shadow on the wall echoes the shape and angle of your leg perfectly giving it more depth.

Superb! Don't worry about flattery, you have seen my posts. They are hardly what one would call flattering, it's 'feeling' which is important and in this shot you have done a marvellous job. Keep trying new things and don't feel affraid, it suits you.

However the sharpness is not totally with you, I like this "still life" of a part of your body. I like the leg framing in the left and the funny and sexy position. B/W's nice but I also like this beautiful coloured WS, Ayda. Nice try and good result, and.... try more of this:-))

Great title, great legs. The pose is very nice, and those fishnet tights perfect. I like the dark mood you created, even if your cat drove you batty. Go ahead and post the cat pics too, I'd love to see them. Good use of your table (smile).

This is a great catch, Ayda! And when you're in doubt, just do it! (and I'm not sponsored by N..e ;-)).
Love the tones and the pose, very sensual and suggestive.. fishnets have always a special power!!
Well done!

Great and funny title, as well as the description of how you took the photo. I don't think you have to doubt yourself as your photos are always strong and innovative. So move on and bring them on...!!! good job Ayda.

DAM

a body..... in network?
or the newtwork on the body?
This picture remember my some 1930' movie ("Der Blaue Engel" at first)...... continue..... I'll wait your next post... ;-)))
Paolo

Very nice, the fishnets I mean... hehehe

The angle of the leg and shadow are interesting but I feel it need a better form something... Fish nets are great, I worn some to the stage show of "The Rocky Horror." Was great, we did it all had confetti for the wedding scene, water pistols and squeeze bottles for the rain scene, and I gotta tell you I looked great in those fishnets and panties...

For those who haven't seen "The Rocky Horror Picture show" at the movies then go get it out on video and you will then see where this kinkyness all comes from. It was written by a New Zealand, and in New Zealand the show had a cult following, with all the paraphanalia, and I an my fellow thespian friends had a great time!

Anyway back to your nice shapely legs my friend... Look forward to seeing more... shots like this... hehehe

After reading the critics I would say we vigourous vegetarians are in good company... Viva La vegetare.
