[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I categorized this sunset as an event because it surely was a spectacle to which no admission tickets could do justice. Strokes for the touch of the master Painter; streaks for the lines and layers writ large in the sky; stubble for the farm field below, darkly glinting through the snow crust.

PP was two passes of The Gimp's "Sharpen Separate Lights & Shadows" plug-in; a rotational correction on the horizon; and cropping and file-sizing to fit.

Hi Jim!

Love the pic!! Never have I seen such a beautiful sunset. Good work.

TFS!

I tried to capture a sunset like this one but with not success. I agree with you a Master Painterīs piece. I love the contrast of the cold dark blue snow and the warn orange yellow, with a very pretty light sun. Just wonderful.

Hi Jim,
Great capture of this wonderful golden orb leaving site before its warmth is replaced by the coler orb that rules the night. The silohutted trees against the golden sky and blue tinted snow is another fine element to this fine image.
Regards, Tom
