[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Recently I spotted this early 60's Chevy panel truck parked in a lot in downtown New Orleans. I couldn't pass the opportunity to shoot this! I have never seen so much junk and decorations on a vehicle in my life. I would loved to have seen the owner! I have always believed that a person's vehicle tells much about the owner! This guy must have been really something!

Tech data: Tight crop to isolate the vehicle from others in teh background. Cloned out distracting items. Added color to some faded items. Adjusted shadows and color tones. Increased color saturation and sharpness. Resized in steps for TL requirements. Added Frame and signature. I will attempt to post the original in WS for comparison.

Thanks for looking and laughing with me!

really a fun shot! I like the POV so much. It's definitely emotional -- hey, man, it's iconic! An American original. Hard to imagine seeing this vehicle anywhere else but New Orleans, Texas or way out in the boondocks in the Southwest, maybe California, 'cept for the longhorns. I like it so much. I would like to see the original -- just to see what it's like with somewhat softer tones. Maybe would have cropped a bit wider on the right, if possible, just to give the truck a little more room to breathe. Your pic would make an awesome pastel or watercolor. Regards, ck

P.S. In my town there's a guy that drives a small pickup. It out-does your subject, not in color, but in "busy-ness" -- and it's all about dinosaurs! LOL.

PPS. In Houston we have an annual "Art Car Parade." The owner of your Chevy might find it interesting.

Hi John,
Ohhh... I wish you hadn't. LOL! The things people drive around in! Good grief!
Thanks for the chuckles!
Richard

I'll have to admit I have never seen anything quite to equal this before...Careful study shows a lot of really hysterical objects on this van. I especially like the bright pink flamingo on the dash and the bobble-head Popeye doll. I wish you could have gotten all the van in the photo, but still like your POV here. It appears that the sign on the side of the door reads "Bad Dog".... What else can you say?
Thanks for a really funny post and keep up the good work......:O)
