Come Spring (Silo Theme)
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
The first rays of the morning sun illuminate a farm in this rural Wisconsin township. Last year's corn harvest is just a memory, peeking through, as the snow gives way. The days are getting warmer and longer. It's almost time to sow the seed again.
A note on the radio tower: It's a bit unusual, but it was there. I left it to give the barn and silo some scale and perspective. I suspect it would have looked odd to crop it out and see only part of the tower framework behind the silo.
A note on the theme: Thanks to all who commented on my first post, including those who quite correctly, helpfully, and kindly pointed out some of its flaws. A good reminder to take one's time and make sure things are right before posting. (BTW, I've done a workshop to address those comments).
If you live near farm country, or travel through it, or have its vestiges still nearby, please feel free to join in this theme. I'm anticipating some unusual and perhaps unique portrayals from different parts of the country and the world. |
