Hello Bob
Where did all that snow go? I see they did a really good job removing the snow! ;)

Very dramatic shot.. I wonder where the fire dept is... even the electrical wire is on fire!

Tricia

Hey Bob,
Fantastic capture here. Very dramatic and you've exposed it quite well. Very well done!

Great shot Bob, did you sell it to the local paper?

Like your position, the Police man stands out well against the flames.

Glad no one got hurt.

Thanks
Gil

Bob,

Thank goodness no one was injured in the fire. He was fortunate to not succumb to the smoke. I'm sure he realizes that "stuff" and "things" are not important as they were the day before the fire.

Nice pov with the policeman and car.

Lisa

By the way, I don't think you can ever "retire" from your skill as a photojournalist! It's in your blood as is evident in your photos.

Hi BoB, I really like these reportage pictures, I have been visiting the web-site you recommended to me on a regular bases, very inspirational. regards h

Hi Bob,
Excellent photo report.
Even if that's a dramatic scene, your photo is technically perfect.
Excellent point of view...very neat shot.
We well recognize there the ancient journalist.
Congratulations,
Stephane.

Hi Bob,
This is a dramatic shot, glad no one was hurt. It looks very dangerous especially as the electric wires are on fire. Im not sure I would want to be as close as that Policeman is to the fire.

Hello Bob. Nicely captured of this officer at work. The fire in the background in good focus with all the details. Lucky for the man to get out of this blaze. well done and best regards. Jusni

Great news photo, Bob. You've got it all -- the fire, the police, vivid color, great low shooting angle. The news is clear and instantly recognizable. Interesting merge -- the officer seems to be enveloped in fire, but I think it works here.

Warm regards,
Jim

Fires are so scary. Poor fellow losing all in his home - but he still has his life.
Good PJ image Bob.

Hello Bob,

A great newspaper shot!
The policeman is adding his own drama to an already dramamtic scene!
What a contrast, we can take pleasure in discussing the finer points of a shot - the poor guy is loosing everything!

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Horrific! I know how fast the burn and how deadly those things are. Unfortunately my first marriage was a horror, and I lived 22 years in one...every night afraid of tornadoes, or fire...thank GOD I'm outta that marriage and out of that trailer! Life is good today! It's almost as if you have photographed my worst nightmare! HA!.....sorry to be a downer BOB! Great shot! You have captured a very dramatic moment!
B-)

good "news style" shot bob. they are among my favorites. i visit several iranian and international news agencies web pages, the photo section, cause i enjoy looking at news photos very much. they are live and real, although they usually bring bad news! thanks for sharing. :)
