[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I took this picture of my bicycle, leaned against one of the marker posts along the Maah Daah Hey trail. This was up on the ridge to the west of Wanagan Camp, as TL member atarisphoto and I went for an evening ride into the hills.

This was the last evening of our epic mountain bike trip into North Dakota's badlands. Check out the travelogue for the rest of the photos.

I had to play around a lot with this one to get the colors / contrast I wanted, and I really like the way it turned out. There was a very slight curves adjustment, contrast tweaks, minor levels tweaks, and a small color balance tweak. Nothing major, but it took me a while for me to say "okay its done." Let me know what you think.

Bonjour Brian,
Très belle composition, qui nous transmet un sentiment de liberté face à ce décor.
Beau travail avec cette luminosité.
Bonne journée

Hello Brian.
Interesting picture and nice subject. I like the tones and light. Maybe I would opt for a lower POV (2/3 of a sky and 1/3 of a ground) and try to have bicycle lower in the frame.

Hi Brian!

I think you succeeded in obtaining a good result. You show us a wide landcape with an interesting light, and dreamy tones. The bicycle brings us into the scene!
Well done!

G'Day,
Wide open areas and a moountain bike, what more can one want? Well a lot really, but in this image nothing else is needed. Great composition and exposure.

Great shot, perfect composition and excellent light.

Hello Brian,

Very good composition in beautiful colors. Also very good POV and perspective. Congratulations!

I love the shadow of the bicycle and the skyline is beautiful. Very nice shot.
