What a pretty place and what a great place to take photos! I'd travel a long way to have an opportunity like this...not quite 1/2 way around the world, but a good way ;-)

Hello Dot.. At first I thought to be somewhere in Switserland / Austria
and very surprised to see it is NewYork .. not only N Y Upstate.. but I have been relatively close ..
was in Platsburgh ones, near Lake Champlain. A very good POV here .

This is one of those picture you look at, then want to type a critique, then have to look again - it's amazing. What the force of water can do, yes I can imagine what that must be like with only the light of lanterns at night.

Tell you what Dot, if this chasm is anywhere near your home, please come again over a period of time. There are 365 days in a year and there are 12 hours of daylight. One of those moments, you would get the effect of its namesake. In one of those moments, it would show itself the best that it could. There are places in this planet, eye candy itself to be babysit for as much as we could. You need to find that moment which would justify its beauty and exhilaration.
