YES, there are all sorts of little creatures in that seaweed. Fish, tropical puffer fish, eels, shrimp, shells... however, when it washes up and dries out it STINKS!! I hate it...but every June we get about 4ft of it on the beaches! Nice shot Vandana! So glad you got to visit there! This is so nice!

Yes!!! South Padre Island!!!! great place:) I was there several times years ago. Did you had your meal at "Black Beards"?
I know that they have there fireworks show every Saturday night from Laguna site summertime.
You are right - there is so much to capture and this bird you are showing here look so nice and in action like he's looking for food.

A beach shot of solo bird is always interesting subject for photography and you have done it well to show reflection off the wet sand just as wave subsides. I think for bird in flight, 200mmfL is difficult to get it right, and I agree 400mm will be very handy.

Yes, the larger lens would work better and I often wish I had 100-400 lens. But they are heavy to hold!! And expensive!!

Wow, Vandana, wow. I love the deep contrast in this shot, the beautiful reflection and the nice sharpness on the bird.
A 2x extender does the trick too, wheighs less but there's a trade-off in aperture, alas...
