[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Lately I've been fascinated with shadows. This is the vase for a bamboo plant, sitting on a table in my office in the late morning sun. I opened the blinds enough to let lines of light and dark appear on the grey desk. By the way, the graininess on the tabletop isn't film grain. The surface of the table is speckled with tiny spatters of black.

I cropped the image down a little (to eliminate some of the bamboo's stem), then adjusted levels, sharpened, and resized.

Great observation Michael. All BW exept for the vase and bamboo and a interesting pattern too.

Interesting shot you have there with the vertical lines of shadows and the reflection of the shadows on the vase. Nice shot.

Simply outstanding... you have played well with the shadows and the light. 10+
