[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
These Cub Scouts will soon be distributing candy to the crowds as they march in the village Memorial Day parade. They seem up to the task! :)

This is for Bob Shannon, as promised -- a lighthearted complement to his more reflective pose (http://www.treklens.com/viewphotos.php?l=3&p=417254) of Scouts on the holiday.

P.S. -- I know the background sky is blown out -- I'm still learning how to work with my new camera to control exposure throughout the frame. I'm going to be experimenting a little more with exposure compensation and bracketing. Suggestions are, of course, welcome.

We are always ready for candy. Nice theme. Great colors and facial expression of those boys. S m i l i n g. TFS

What a great shot Jim! LOVE kids, especially happy kids! Love the expressions here, and the sky is of no matter here to me, my focus is on the kids. I've seen "professional" photography where they actually blow out the sky on purposes to make the subject stand out more. See here... http://www.treklens.com/viewphotos.php?l=3&p=420960 Really nice work here!

Hi Jim,

Being the mom of two sons (now 17 and 20), I remember the scouting days, volunteer work, and service to others. This certainly brought back memories.

The expressions and body language are terrific here... sometimes, it's just fun for kids to "ham it up" for the camera!

thanks for sharing, Lisa
