Hi Ayda,
Nice. Your pose looks uncomfortable. But, I guess it gives the message that to always hold ourselves up is sometimes tiring, and so, we do need a break. Low contrast adds a nice tiresome mood. And the stroked effect looks good, too. Take a break to feel better. I'm sure you've earned it.

Excellent pose and compo, I also like the PP in general, bu not so sure about the sketch effect, looks a bit artificial, which, of course, it is. Still, very nice piece.

Hallo Ayda,
beside the technique, I think this a great composition. A bit more contrast between your face and the background might have added to the whole. The white glow between the rest of your body and the background, should, in my opinion, have been around your face too.
Still: great to look at.

Hi dear Ayda. What to say in front of such a masterpiece.
No words...
I like the way your note is both technical and emotional. It is really what photogrphy is for me. Your PP works very well and the light coming from behind you makes a great thing. Like others pictures of your there is no line between your cheek and the bckgrd. It shows a very nice softness.
Really you did a great job.
A fav for sure.
Thanks for sharing such nice job.
See you around. Denis.
PS : take care, your notes shows you so fragile sometimes...

Wow, Ayda! I love the "light rain" effect. It really adds to the mood of the photo. Another winner from you, for sure!

Good composition although I'm having some difficulty with the special effect of your pp. The words of Emily Brönte are very well chosen. Thank you for sharing this.

I think you could do with some nice back massage, but then you're a student without any money for luxuries. Ha. Ha. Very good portrait of yourself Ayda. I like the pose as it fits so well with Bronte's words. The filters and extra post processing you did is marvellous.

Excellent note & excellent photo ;-)
I am sorry that it was driven by pain that this beautiful composition was made, but for me that am just looking at it, I think I can be selfish enough not to care about the motivations and love it just for what it is :-)) I hate being this selfish, but it's not my fault, why do you have to post all these great photos??
Well done Ayda! Take care and rest plenty!

Simply exquisite. Nice pose..as if you just were not interested in being there and look so natural. Nice effects... lots of PP but worth all the way. Great one again Ayda.

Chiaraluna,
I'm not a big fan of any of the Bronte's, but the words in your note matches your image perfectly. Your pose though uncomfortable, brings a sense of fatigue and yet the will to move onward.
The Post Processing really has captured the moodiness you were trying to project. In my humble opinion your work is constantly improving.
Oh for the addition of a model to keep in a bag next to one's camera equipment! For some reason I am finding that people say that they will model for me but when it comes down to it, they bottle out. I'll find one soon as I am sure you will too. That said, you make a great model, and you know exactly what you want yourself to project - so in reality, perhaps it is easier to photograph yourself after all. I'll never tire of your self-portraits even if you do!
Take Care,
Lance

Another beautiful picture from you. Am I surprised? Not one bit; I would only be surprised if you produced somthing common. Thanks for sharing.

All the discomfort has been worthwhile because you have produced a beautiful image. The pp work has really helped the final result. A beautiful black and white portrait has been produced with a beautiful model :-)

surely Ayda is THE MASTER of selfportrait in TL....
and this is an evidence......
And seen you are the master in this matter I have a question, in my opinion to do a good selfportrait you need to know yourself very well... is it true?

Le temps s'écoule sur toi comme le sable dans le désert.
Tu pose lasse, mais le vent qui souffle tente à te disparaître.
En noir et blanc tu te joue des formes fidèles.
C'était comme si à chaque instant la matière te remodelait.
Antonio
Lovely as a spring day, mystique as an eve with full moon. Lovely potrait with a ray of light to shine on you.

hey Ayda, you've done some pretty neat post-pro on this pic! the actual subject of the pic makes me think of those ladies from the late 1800's, in long black dresses, high at the neck, with their hair tied up. i like the glow around the body, but i wish there was more depth of the black/white/grey tones - the face tends to blend into the background really easily. anyways, good note too!
- Tina
Beautiful composition Ayda, you are very professionnal! I like it a lot! You are expect in b&w.
Best regards

You are a beautiful woman Ayda. But your talent in creative photography sure lives up to it, you do yourself justice in pictures like this one! You have a great ability in creating the right mood in your work. Keep the good things rollin!
Wish you live close enough to do a shoot, with subject: Ayda.
I would sure like to try my lens on you!
