Hello TL friends, these are my babies. I hope all you dads out there had a great Fathers Day. I took this shot yesterday evening. I can't ever have enough pictures of my kids. Sophie is 5 years old and Chloe is 3. I wanted to try more portrait shot and I don't think there any better subjects than children. We had a fun time taking these, sitting still is sometimes a problem but we managed. I must have taken over a 100 shots they were great. Here is the pic. I liked the most. My wife thought the Chinese umbrellas would add a nice touch.

I shot this outside in the late evening as the sun was going down. I used a 400 ISO as the sun was going down and I didn't want a dark exposure. I had a focal length of 155mm and used a 55-200mm lens. Not much done in PP just increased saturation a little, enhanced the magenta color in the umbrella. I then cropped, framed and resized for TL. I hope you like it and as always thanks for viewing.

Regards,
Kevin

Oh they are the cutest!!!! A really wonderful double portrait, and your wife was right the umbrella makes a wonderful background. Added to my favorites. Give each of these little dolls a hug from me. TFS and have a great day!

Hi Kevin - as a father of two wee girls myself, I can relate to the joy your daughters give you and to your remark about never having enough photos of them :-) As I keep getting told, and as i fully appreciate, they do grow too quickly...

Yours are pretty much the same ages as mine - and it looks like you have a couple of characters on your hands :-) I'm interested in the hair length - one long, one short - any story there?

The colours are good and strong, the green dresses stand out nicely against the purplish umbrellas.

My only technical comment would be on the 1/20 shutter speed and a 155mm focal length. I think even on a tripod, it's a tad slow and the image as a result isn't as sharp as it could be.

Sorry, I feel like a bum giving a technical downer on such a nice shot of your girls :-(

Hi Kevin,
Great double portrait,I think the stray hair is exactly what makes it. Beautiful!Perfect framing and skin tones. The subtle smile make the face shine! Great job.

Hello Kevin,
Sur you are one proud father there.
They are adorable and cute. Are they twins?
Well composed shot, with nice expressions. TFS
Vandana

What a great Father's Day you must have had. Beautiful girls and a wonderful, fun shot. Surely, you're going to frame this and put it on the wall!
Tracy

Hi Kevin,
Great shot for the occasion. You must be very proud of these two beauties with their warm smiles and love for each other. I hope you have many Happy Fathers Days to come and may the remain forever young.

Hi Kevin
They look adorable altough I suspect a bit of mischief now and then. The green polka dot dresses show up well against those pararols, and their bows look like they are intermingled.
Great shot and you should be proud.
Dot

Hi Kevin,
Happy father you are to have two pretty girls as them! Appreciate this moment, it passes so quickly!
Their pose is so candid and you managed well the light!Very beautiful contrasted colors! I agree with Richard, about NeatImage. It is very useful when you use a high ISO.
Beautiful done! Annei

Hi Kevin,
One very good portrait of your sweet and adorable Dolls here, i am not sure if they are Babies ,,,,hehe i think they are quite grown up to me , being able to pose like older models and superbly photogenic moreover.I truly like your photo .
Agree with Kilted-Arab though on the focus issue, hum just a tiny tad off but on the good side the umbrellas and colourful dresses and lipstick largely compensate !!!I must explore your portfolio for some more surprises ....TFS and thank you for commenting my own pics it's always so appreciated !
