Happy Sunday to you all! A shot from the wedding yesterday and I can tell you it was some wedding! After the service we all went outside and a storm was approaching, so literally everyone was running!

Shelby and I looked up and saw a funnel cloud and we started shooting. I got some pics so did she before the bottom fell out. So I got in my truck and...... whoops?....I can't find my keys??.....where are my keys?? and I feel bad, but in my terror I said every bad word I knew! And the wind picked up so bad I was afraid I was going to OZ! I could not open the truck door the wind was blowing so hard! The truck is the LAST place to be during a tornado!

It took about 5 minutes of terror before I found them, peeled out and headed as close to the church as I could get my truck! Then I bailed out...left camera, equipment, purse everything and ran. I have never in all my days seen a storm like that, save a hurricane or two!

But as the evening went on the clouds moved south, the sun shot underneath all that for some incredible shots..can't wait to share some of them with you! Needless to say, I filled a 4GB chip yesterday!

I feel beat up today, with all the panic, the running, I also fell yesterday and sacrificed my body for the camera, but the floor was slick as glass and wet! We got home really late...zzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Have a great Sunday and I'm going back to bed!
Linda

OH what a day you had... Just from your notes I can feel the terror you must have had! How scary.. but happy to see you are home safe.. I guess I should not complain about a little rain here in the NE!

Your photo shows the JOY on the faces of the boys/men? I bet the girl was one hot chick! lol

Can not wait to see your promised photos...

Hi Linda,

Wow, Linda, after reading your note, I think I'll go back to bed!! Sounds like scary events! Expressions on faces are terrific. Interesting diagonal lines with the lights and guys.

What an adventure Linda, I'm sorry you had to endure such things.
Saving the camera would have been my instinct too!
Great freeze of the moment here. The strip of lights is a nice touch.
Well captured.

Hi Calamity,
Sorry but I have to conclude Texans are totally crazy (sometimes :-) Anyway you capture a great moment of action (what ever that may be). Are those boys not to young for such madness?
Hans

Hi Linda,
Seeing this shot of a wonderful moment, I am smelling a row of great shots from the wedding you had just covered, coming up in your next posts.

Wedding photojournalism that should make the client be smiling, as much as I do. Like to see the happy expression and the moment you captured here. Very good timing.

Regards,
Ramdan
