[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The woman on the left side of this mural writing in the book is FRIDA KAYLO (1907-1954). She is important for various reasons, including the fact that her art depicts many aspects of her turbulent life. Among other things, she was severly injured in bus accident which left her in constant pain for the rest of her life. She was also married and remarried to another famous Latino artist Diego Rivera. Their marriage was no simple affair either. You can read about her life at this link:

Another of the varied and interesting murals in the Mission District on the alley of art. Hope you like it. I like its contrast to many other murals there in its more or less "refined" style of painting. More to come . . .

I cropped, sharpened and enhanced the colors a bit.

Another marvelous mural shot! Every garage door should have one:) I like the smaller faces to the right of the door too. There is a delightful combination of design and textures that works well with the structural features. Looking forward to your next post!
